Three??? What Are You Going To Do With Three???

This questions has been flung at me a lot lately. You see, my new MINI Cooper came in a couple of weeks ago and I just picked it up today. The problem with that is that the lease on my Jetta isn’t over yet. And yep, I’ve still got my Wrangler.

What indeed!

You waiting over four months for the MINI – what do you think of it?!

Ya, well, it’s still overwhelming for me right now. First it was a longer than usual drive down to Fife to get the thing – thanks again ‘goat! – and then it was “sign here here here and here – here’s about two dozen buttons and switches – yer keys – seeya!” and the next thing I knew I was back on I-5.

So. Me, being me, I can tell you a few “negative” things… no floor mats! Having owned/leased five brand new cars in 11 years, this is the first car I’ve picked up that didn’t include floor mats. Just simply forgot about them. That means a trip back down to Fife. But it’s not a harsh thing: I need like 500 miles to break the car in anyway :) And since MINI’s leasing programs are as “icky” as BMW’s, there was literally a $6/month difference to get 12K miles (over 10K miles) so I did get a “standard” lease.

Having said that, they accidentally forgot to hook up my alarm remote to trigger the self opening/closing windows/sunroof (and how freaking cool is that, that they can hook it up??? Pretty sweet. VW has that functionality when you use a key but not the remote; big pet peeve on the Jetta) and they didn’t attach the front license plate holder. I might go down tomorrow and get the mats or I might try to schedule this all to be done next weekend…

Oh, and the MPG on the car’s sticker: 28 city/35 highway. There’s a bunch more stuff I can get into, but I’m sorta drained at the moment… having said that, here’s what she looks like, and yeah, you can be jealous!
