Sign of the Anti-Bacterial Times

Over the last couple of weeks, “flu prevention” has sprung up on campus. I guess I should be fair: it’s popped up everywhere. Like the gym, Fred Meyer (with free flu shots or whatever), and almost anywhere you look on campus. “Wash your hands often” signs in the bathroom and an industrial sized dispenser of Purell in the kitchen. The wash your hands bit has done nothing to increase the benefit of doubt that I give most men, withregards to their behavior in the pisciadu. And of course, you know Purell. They make that no-wash hand sanitizer stuff… the same stuff that I remember using when I was a French Fry Technician(TM) at Burger King… over 16 years ago.

I’ll probably wake up in a cold sweat, yelling “Level Five!” as part of some twisted flashback or something.

And this just in: while I was typing this, I got an email saying that a package had arrived from corporate… while it’s a little different than flipping burgers, look at what I’ve helped make here:

  1. Nope. Honest! We just checked because we were discussing the retail price of this pretty black box and went “HO SHVIT!” when I found it on Programmer’s Paradise . Standard and Professional are in the Store though.
