Chuck’s Journal: I was watching the news the other night and a story from Texas where the parents sold their kids Christmas presents on e-bay (all three boys were to get the new Nintendo DS and games).
I heard the same story and did a Snoopy-esque dance of joy when I heard it, since I agreed with the TX parents whole heartedly… even more so that they donated the money they got via the auction to their local church! As a parent, Chuck’s got some more to say about it [and for the readers that have been here from the beginning, this is the same Chuck that’s been mentioned in previous posts!]
Hell yes!! We as parents must create examples for our children that they need to listen and behave. Like the couple that moved out of there house till the kids cleaned up. Unfortunately our lifestyles provide little time for our children. Which is hell, and makes teaching and guiding them much harder, wish live would slow down.
