Election Recap

One last bit on the election, mostly because of people’s reaction to Kerry losing… I’ve seen “better get ready for a Draft,” “we need a Civil War!” and “Christianity will be the new official religion”. I’ve seen people taunting others with the blue states having joined Canada and the rest of the US labeled as Jesus land. Does that mean Kerry was French-Canadian? I don’t get it.

Who gives a rat’s ass anymore? Both guys sucked. Both guys would have sucked in the big chair. Both guys are politicians and are by definition worthless – they just use different fonts when they type. Same story, different book cover. People like Moore make a living by leeching off the people in power no matter who it is. If it was trendy in Hollywood to pick on Democrats, he coulda made four movies on Clinton. Problem is that Democrats are all very trendy in Hollywood, so he dare not dog them… It’s obvious Moore couldn’t get laid in high school and now he just wants to fit in. Make up your own minds for a change.

On a serious note over this religious, what the fuck do you care if the President is religious? Until he starts making people attend mass or giving tax break to believers, I don’t get it. Are you afraid that he has morals and might act on them? In addition to abandoning his “Vote for me because everyone else sucks” position, Kerry could have went a little under the surface for his beliefs? What if either of them were Wiccan? Would that matter? How about this: religion is a way for people have faith. Faith in there might be something better in the world, instead of just what they see. It might even give them an incentive to be more ethical or moral in their day to day lives. I see no problem with that. In fact, I think the bigger problem is that society is so sure of itself these days that there is no fear of punishment anymore. Gimmie a fuckin’ break.

Back to the people that are up in arms and leaving over the election. First off, you protest the war in Iraq and want to wage a war here? Riiiight. Turn in your citizenship card, because I think you’re too stupid to be breathing. Your only retort to “how did Kerry lose” is ‘People in the red states are stupid’. Nice job! Talk about being in shock over not winning a contest… they need to hand out blue rattles because people didn’t get their way. Here’s a thought: how do you think Nader or Dean feel?

If this outcome of this election is so ugly and catastrophic, why did you stay for the last two years? Two years? Yeah, I said two years – people forget that Bush was beloved for the last quarter of ’01 and half of ’02. People forget that they had no opinion of him before 9/11! Short memories we all have, I guess. Oh, and if the next four years are going to be so ugly and catastrophic, get the fuck out now and stop bitching about it. Do you expect people to ask you to stay? Lame.

The best line I’ve heard to date was from NSLog(); – “I didn’t [lose/win]: I voted for the guy I wanted to vote for, and nothing prevented me from doing so.” That’s the truth of the matter, right there.

The cabinet will change. The policies will shift. There’s still no draft. There’ll no standardized religion. If LA didn’t burn yet in civil unrest, it won’t any time soon. It’s not Potentate Bushie in the White House. The biggest out come is that 13 states voted to ban gay marriages, and it’s not getting much press – I’m guessing that someone realized that it’s a minority interest and not many people care about it after all.

It’s over. Move on. Get over it. Whatever. I’m so SICK to death of ALL of it.

Shup!

  1. yeah like they said, well said. the reason a person votes for a president (for the most part) is because they think they would make a positive change in america. if your gonna bitch about the president and bring him down, you obviously don’t want to see america as a more positive country.
