It’s not often that I post pictures, but two things have popped up recently that I wanted to share.

One was the fall foliage of WA. With the nickname of “The Evergreen State” I wasn’t expecting much leaf color this autumn, but there is a bit of color around town – it just seems to be one tree at a time, which you’ll see in the pictures.

The other thing was the ongoing expansion of Starbucks, even here in WA. In a local shopping center, there is already a Starbucks store in the “mall”, but they’re building a new free standing store to offer us a Drive-Thru. Both pictures were taken from exactly the same spot: I took one facing north and the other while facing south.

As you can see, you couldn’t finish a shot of espresso by the time you walked from one store to the other: I love that!
