Seattle Post-Intelligencer: Forbidden after July 1, 2004, is open flame gas and charcoal grilling on apartment or condominium decks [in Washington] made from combustible materials and lacking an overhead sprinkler. This means no grilling on the vast majority of wooden decks. Some — not all — metal and concrete decks bracketed by non-flammable walls might be exempt if there are no flammable materials nearby. Electric grills remain legal.
Son of a BITCH.
Awww, dude! No way!
Don’t worry though, I’m sure we’ll both see the end of the world in our lifetimes… So chances are you should be able to light up the grill just as all hell breaks loose.
It’s a joke, but I can’t help but feel I am making a prediction. Hope I am not…
Its only illegal if you get caught.
So buy a house, or even rent a duplex. The ban doesn’t apply to houses or complexes with fewer than four units.
Well the houses are just a bit out of my range, which is why I’m thinking condo again – even a “house with one ajoining wall” is affordable – the stand alone houses seem to be just out of my reach… For where I want to live, anyway. The better news is that I have some extra time to pick out a place, as I’m renting in the meantime… can hold out for a sprinkler equiped deck and/or a condo with a ground floor patio :)
