Howard Stern Suspended?

[New York Times]: Clear Channel Communications, the biggest radio broadcaster in the nation, suspended the Howard Stern show from its stations yesterday after announcing a policy to prevent the broadcasting of indecent content.

I never thought I’d see this again in the headlines, not after he found a home at K-ROCK and put most of this kind of crap behind him… anyone know what he said?

  1. It was for his so called, graphic, questions to the co-star of the Paris Hilton video. USA Today had all the details. This move was a total reaction to the outcry of the recent exposure of Janet’s boob. Yet another overreaction to something that should have been a non-event!

  2. Ah, so nothing NEW but it’s part of the “FCC has to start behaving because Janet Jackson showed her tit” fall out… bah.

  3. Well remember Howard is syndicated by Infinity Broadcasting which is a also a large radio broadcaster. So you are the CEO of the largest radio company in the country, what a better way to both kiss up to the moral majority and stick it to your compeditor?

Here in Phoenix, Howard is on an Infinity station so no changes for us.

  4. Howard should have died long ago. Someday when you have kids you’ll be grateful someone understood the difficulties they are up against in this crazy world.

  5. Oh joy. A Howard hater.

Why don’t you take this crusade of yours to the next level and kill off actors that don’t act in movies that you like? Or better yet, start shooting people on the street that aren’t behaving in accord with your moral fiber. You sound like you’re the type of asshole that would kill an abortion doctor to “save lives”.

And let me tell you something else. If I ever have kids I would hope that a bunch of vulgar language wouldn’t be enough to ruin their lives. I would hope that they have enough intelligence and backbone to shrug off things that they hear on the radio if they don’t believe in them.

Personally, I would be satisfied that they wouldn’t turn out like he closed minded hypocritical person that you seem to be.

Besides, why should *I* have to change who I listen to on the radio just because YOU or anyone else had kids? Mind you own offspring and leave me out of it.
